Selecting and Placing Components
A lot of the example schematics and layout samples we looked at earlier contain multiple components. Your components are like the vital organs for your circuit board, they make everything about the board work and perform as required. New designers can sometimes find it hard to pick out components simply because there are so many of them on the market.
In this section, you’ll have a chance to see how a real schematic is created from real components. When we say “real components,” we mean that you could order these components from a parts distributor and assemble them on a fabricated PCB. Before you can get to that stage, you need to think about how exactly you’ll select components for your design.
